Stefan and Ralph were the first
to ride the Kaunertal Glacier-Road in 1990. Stefan
and his wife Mone Wagner, have been organizers for
Hot Heels since the beginning. Stefan has medalled
several times in ESPN's X Games Street Luge events
andserved as an Athlete Advisor to ESPN during
1998-9. He was instrumental in bringing the first
American and British Racers to Hot
Heels.

Ralph, Stefan Wagner, and Frank
Vogelsang started the Hot Heels Buttboard race in
the Austrian Alps. Ralph quickly became the hero
and role model for the sport in Europe. In 1998
Ralph retired, letting other riders take the gold
while he concentrated on organizing, financing, or
physically setting up the event. Truly a hero for
all to emmulate.
